Arcade opened its first location in 2013; and San Francisco’s Brewcade opened in 2014. Barcade now has six locations, and Ground Kontrol underwent a remodel in 2011, black power ranger costume and all of these spots are still open. Wednesday afternoon sunlight spills through two massive open windows at the front of the bar, illuminating silver tap handles, black widow halloween costume neon-splattered paintings from local artists and shiny black booths. Once one layer is complete, the machine lays down another layer of powdered material, and the process repeats itself.
